Clearance Required: TS/SCI w/ Full Scope Polygraph

Principal test engineers build a total end-to-end test infrastructure from source to destination using resources contained in a single lab or shared among multiple labs, including provisioning computers, loading with required software, and creating a test thread through an available network infrastructure;  conduct component and system integration testing according to the test plan provided; identify and execute additional testing, adding value to the test results; properly document, according to the Government defined standards, test procedures and results; install and configure special purpose network devices such as packet sniffers, Smart Bits traffic generator, Broadway, Abacas, EMC Storage Area Network (SAN), and DCOSS; provide technical recommendations to the management team in maintaining the overall architecture; and conduct informal training to provide knowledge transfer to all testing team members and eliminate single points of failure of task/function.
 
LCAT Experience Requirements: 
  • Ten (10) years’ experience as a system administrator supporting computers systems running Microsoft Windows NT, Unix, and Linux operating systems,
  • Ten (10) years’ experience supporting network hardware, including bridges, switches, routers and gateways
  • Ten (10) years’ experience identifying and resolving network system issues with IT hardware such as repeaters, bridges, routers, gateways, and hubs and operating systems such as Microsoft Windows and Windows NT, Sun Solaris, and Linux,
  • Ability to install, configure, and use personal security products to include host network-based firewalls and intrusion detection systems
  • Ten (10) years’ experience working in an IT engineering lab loading (file transfer via electronic of storage media), installing and maintaining the operability of commercial off-the-shelf computer and IT equipment and supporting software
  • Ten (10) years’ experience with computer networking protocols including, but not limited to TCP, IP, UDP, HTTP, DHCP, and DNS
  • Five (5) years’ experience in C, C++, Perl, Python, or other scripting language, including threads
  • Ten (10) years’ experience in systems administration of hardware and software in support of developing and testing of Information Technology systems
  • Ten (10) years’ experience in conducting both component and system integration level testing on complex software products
  • Able to develop and deliver briefings, technical presentations, and program documentation to senior program management
Position-specific Experience Requirements:
  • Source Code Triage – ability to read source code and identify the modules where issue exists
  • Ability to write test plans
  • Ability to write test cases
