Synergy ECP is looking for a RF Engineer in anticipation of a newly awarded satellite communications contract located in Annapolis Junction, MD

Clearance Required: TS/SCI w/ Polygraph

Description: 
Provides technical expertise in system solutions and RF design for a small team in the design, development, integration and test of operational prototypes. Hands-on experience doing “design-bench- deploy” is essential. Specialized RF design experience in lower-power RF systems, power amplifiers, cellular and WiFi technology, antennas, RF propagation and RF test equipment are desired. Must have experience with modeling and simulation tools, such as PSpice or ADS. Should have a strong background with communication theory and protocols.

Required Capabilities:
  • Design, characterize, and analyze RF systems
  • Integrate and test RF systems
  • Perform modeling and simulation using digital and analog circuit CAD tools (e.g., PSpice and ADS)
  • Design, characterize, and analyze antennas and RF components
  • The Level 2 RF Engineer shall be able to perform the indicated Level 1 tasks
  • The Level 3 RF Engineer shall be able to perform the indicated Level 1 & 2 tasks


Qualifications:
Ten (10) years’ experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics from an accredited college or university is required OR Twenty (20) years’ experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics from an accredited college or university is required.

Required Domain Experience: 
Fifteen (15) years' experience as a RF Technical expert associated with the operations, maintenance and engineering of satellite communications (SATCOM) systems. Provides technical RF support to ensure proper operations, maintenance and engineering on relative satellite communications equipment and system.
